Another new set....and more to come

I finished this set last week and LOVE it.

This is my Cowboys set. Can you tell I'm in Texas? :)

I have another one on the way that is just dying to get out of my head. I have the sweater finished, I just need to embellish it. I hope you like it.

A few of my latest sets:

Here are a few of my latest sets. I hope you like them.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Long time no post

I haven't posted on this blog in quite a while. Sorry about that. I posted all my sweater set pictures on my MySpace page because they're easier to see there. I guess I should attempt to get them up here too.

The link to my page is myspace.com/munchkinheads . All of my sweater sets that I have created thus far are listed there. If you would like to order a set, please email me.

I hope to create some new sets for this Fall. I have come up with quite a few, but still would like to create a couple more. I'm excited about Fall coming and hope that we actually get one here in Texas this year. :)

Onward & Upward

It's been so long since I've updated my blog. Life has been a bit busy, but in a very good way.

A local resale shop has agreed to sell my hats. Please pray that they sell well and I get more requests from this store. I love making them and the extra money doesn't hurt either.

I'm also headed to a much needed scrapbook retreat this weekend. I haven't done much on my books since Jacie was born. It's just been too crazy. I'm looking forward to getting a lot done hopefully. It'll also be a nice vacation for Mom! :)

I hope to update soon with wonderful news that my hats are flying off the shelves!

Take care!

For the hunter in you............

I love this set. I just finished it and had to show it. This awesome Camo yarn makes the cutest baby hats. With me being from a family of hunters I thought it was just perfect.

Flu Season & baby hats

I currently have 1 sick kiddo, but expect to have 2 more before it's over and done with. We found out today my middle daughter has the flu. Yuck! We're trying to keep her away from the other two girls as much as possible, but you know how that goes. We're keeping our fingers crossed that maybe the baby won't get it, but she's already got a cough so we'll see.

In the meantime I decided to start selling my baby hats. It's something I love to do and why not make a little money off of them. Below are some pictures of the hats that I've made recently. If you're reading my blog becuase you want to order, feel free to email me. I do customize them.

I hope to get back to working on more projects once we all get well. My older two daughters decided the baby blankets I made them are just too small now. :( So they've requested bigger ones. I've already started working on Kealey's.

First attempt at felting

I probably should have tried a yarn that was more than 35% wool, but I was anxious. I bought this beautiful yarn, but it wasn't completely 100% wool and really should have been at least 85% wool before I started felting.

It came out okay, but it didn't shrink as much as I would have liked. I made the straps (which are 100% wool) longer because I was afraid they would shrink quite a bit. They did some, but not much.

Now I have a very large felted tote bag. I love the colors, but wish the straps were a little shorter.

Either way, it turned out fairly well. I need to practice this type of crochet a little more.
You live and learn right?
